The Otto DIY Maker Kit is a perfect choice for both beginners and makers alike. Otto can walk, dance, make sounds gestures and avoid obstacles in this starter version but you can always upgrade, expand and customize with extra sensors and 3D printing.
The Otto DIY Maker is the perfect STEM+A robot kit for parenting or school education and includes what you need to run a STEM class at home. Get started with the basics of electronics, programming, and coding. No prior knowledge is necessary – the kit will guide you through exciting building, introducing basic robotics concepts and developing important 21st century skills, such as problem-solving and critical thinking.
The Otto DIY Maker Kit is the more economical option of their two STEM kits due to to the lack of plastic enclosure parts included in the kit. Luckily, you can 3D print the plastic parts using the free .STL files found in the *Documents* tab. If you don\'t have easy access to a 3D printer, this may not be the right kit for you. Make sure to check out the [Otto DIY Builder Kit](https://www.sparkfun.com/products/18558) instead, which includes all of the robot enclosure pieces you\'ll need to fully assemble the \'bot!
