The EM-506N5 GPS receiver from USGlobalSat based on the MediaTek high performance L1 band GNSS receiver. This is the new version from the [EM-506](https://www.sparkfun.com/products/12751). It includes on-board voltage regulation, LED status indicator, battery backed RAM, and a built-in patch antenna! [6-pin interface cable](https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9123) *not* included.
This EM-506N5 GPS module is powered by the MediaTek high performance L1 band GNSS receiver, it can provide you with superior sensitivity and performance even in urban canyon and dense foliage environment.
