TEENSY 4.0 the Monster has arrived

With the same 28pin form factor as the previous one Teensy 3.2 , looks like a harmless postage stamp. But if we look closer, we find a monster under the hood: a Cortex M7 which travels at the speed of 600MHz (!!!) this is the fastest microcontroller currently on the market, and the tests prove it, if we look at the graph the competing microcontrollers look like snails:

This performance is achieved with just 100mA of consumption. The chip is overclockable to further increase performance.
But speed is not the only strong point of this one new Teensy 4.0 , in fact there are numerous features that are equally impressive, such as the dynamic management of clock scaling, i.e. the clock speed of the instructions is decoupled from the peripherals, in this way the clock change does not affect the speed of the various data ports, timing functions, audio functions, etc.
It has an Auto recovery function where the Teensy 4.0 can be brought back to a predefined situation of certain functioning. That is, in the event of malfunctions, system blocking, etc; press the Reset button and the for 15 seconds Teensy 4.0 go back to the initial phase with the classic Blink program. From there you can reprogram and start again.
For those who don't know, we remind you that the Teensy can be programmed using the Arduino IDE development system, simply by installing the Teensyduino add-on .
But the question we are all asking ourselves, namely: How much does the Teensy 4.0 ? Well, the Teensy 4.0 it is in line with the price of the other Teensys, it is offered on the market at around 20.00 Euros (+VAT) incredible, but true.
